I've often found that airports have an inspiring “je ne sais quoi” that leads to a series of beautiful stories. Sitting on a bench, I like to watch people walking by and I imagine their next excursions or journeys.

I had just been witness to a very touching moment in which this man was hugging his daughter as she waited to go through security. At the very last minute, I heard him exclaim: I wish you just enough! He remained alone, and I saw a tear rolling down his cheek.

Against all odds, he came and sat down next to me. My daughter is going back to Paris,” he told me. I could feel his desire to talk, to confide me something.

- Will you visit her soon?

- I don't think so... his tone and expression became evasive...

- I heard you say, I wish you just enough, it intrigued me!

A sparkle emerged from his eyes, he took a long breath, as if he was searching for the perfect way to explain it to me, slowly, he began: :

· In our family, we express to those we love; I wish you just enough! I wish you a life filled with just enough good things to enjoy. I wish you just enough experiences, good or bad, to keep a bright attitude. I wish you just enough happiness to keep your mind alive. I wish you just enough pain so that small joys seem bigger. I wish you just enough money to satisfy your needs and enjoy the "surplus". I wish you just enough loss to appreciate what you have.

He puts his hand over mine and then continued with a sad voice:

- I just wish you enough hello's, so I don't have too many last goodbyes!

- That's beautiful,” I replied!

He told me it was probably the last time he would see his daughter, as he was sick.

- Maybe they've condemned you up there, but down here, the medical staff will try anything to keep you here...

It's possible! A few minutes later, he may have disappeared from my sight, but certainly not from my heart. This moment, this unexpected lesson, would remain engraved in my memories.

We expect our lives to be perfect, with all that would involve. If there were no difficult periods in life, we wouldn't be able to appreciate the good ones.

It's my turn to wish you “just enough”!
