We will all have encountered an unpleasant person who instantly demolish our good mood and sometimes our lives. People so bitter that they are evil and sadly, often they are the ones who appear wonderful.
Le Bidon Taverne Culinaire in Saint-Lambert gave an opportunity to its employees by becoming, for one evening, unpleasant staff They named this event the Karen Night.

It was amusing to observe the staff trying to play "the ordinary" in a Christmas songs atmosphere in the middle of March!
A slice of radish had been added to the cocktail that highlighted the blueberries (a weird combination), I was forced to eat a salad with chopsticks and I had my main course with my fingers.
A young customer, about two years old, was learning about fine cuisine with a mac with sausages and a Shirley Temple Virgin as a drink!
I may have surprised this employee who was FaceTiming on her cellphone when I went I introduced myself to her interlocutor, mentioning that I was a customer!

The term Karen has been stereotyped in recent years when many white women were filmed insulting and/or criticizing individuals of different ethnicities for no reason.
No one deserves to be treated badly... I found it amusing that a restaurant would host a dinner with this theme. I experienced the Karen service.
We all have Karens around us who go by various names, regardless of the degree of meanness of these individuals, I realized that they are lacking love. They are ugly on the inside and refuse to face the reflection in their mirror, trying to pass it onto others.
Thomas Hobbes said that man is a wolf to man. Despite the fact that we are all equal, man can be malevolent towards his peers because he desires what the other has or is.
It is difficult to detect malicious people when deep down we are fundamentally kind. Kindness is not given to everyone and often it turns against the good one, because sadly society seems to encourage the wicked.

Let's not give these Machiavellian beings the advantage of destroying us. Let's drive out evil with good by offering our most charming smile or a heartfelt compliment, especially to those who are disenchanted with life. What a beautiful world it would be if toxic people try to become the customer, the friend, the neighbor, the coworker we love to be around?
Are you a Karen?
